Volunteers are the heart of The Brave App

Brave's volunteers are the life-affirming core that makes overdose detection with The Brave App possible.

Engaging Content

We aim to make our training accessible to a variety of learning styles with a variety of video, audio, images, and text.

Flexible Scheduling

Only have an hour or two at a time to volunteer? That's ok. Schedule your on-call time for when you are available. The Brave App is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Virtual Training

Everything about our training is accessible remotely, making it easy to become a supporter from anywhere in the Canada or the United States.

Community Support

Volunteering with Brave isn't something you do alone - after completing this course and your test call, you will be connected to our Volunteer Support Hub and invited to our Support the Supporter nights.

support hub

Our virtual Support Hub is where you will find real-time support while on calls. It is also your connection to resources, announcements, and important news.
04

on-call shifts

Your first on-call shifts are easy to schedule and even easier to show up for. Simply make the event in your own calendar and invite our volunteer team. When it is time to start your shift, turn on your availability in the app and let the rest of your squad in the Support Hub know you are taking calls.
